Hellenic American University
Hellenic American University was established as a United States institution of higher education on May 11, 2004, by an Act of the General Court of the State of New Hampshire.
The University’s undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs are regulated, approved, and regularly monitored by the New Hampshire’s Department of Education, Division of Higher Education - Higher Education Commission.
Hellenic American University provides the highest quality American education which is interculturally- informed, interdisciplinary in nature, and career relevant. It educates its students to be global citizens who are solidly grounded in the liberal arts and equipped to contribute to the economic and social development of their communities. The Hellenic American University Office for Language Assessment and Test Development (OLATD) develops two language tests, the BCCE™ and the ALCE™, which are aimed at the B1 Level and the C1 level on the Common European Framework (CEFR) respectively.
The ALCE™ and BCCE™ examinations are developed in accordance with the highest international standards of educational measurement and are assessed by highly regarded external institutions. All parts of the examinations are written following specific guidelines and test specifications. Items are pre-tested to ensure standardization and validity.
